New Party's Rise in TBMM: Changes in Office and Seat Plans

Following the departure of Özgür Özel and 90 deputies from the CHP to form the New Party, new arrangements are on the agenda in the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM).The New Party has become the second party with the most seats in the Assembly with the participation of 91 deputies. It is expected that Özel and former CHP group vice chairs will retain their offices with their new titles, and the New Party's seat arrangement in the General Assembly will remain unchanged.A new row is planned to be allocated to the remaining CHP deputies in the General Assembly, and a new area is to be designated for the new administration of the CHP, led by Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu. Some offices and areas on the first or second floor of the Assembly Main Building, currently allocated to commissions, may be vacated and assigned to the CHP Group executives.
