Armed Attack in Thailand: Former MP Detained

Thailand has been shaken by consecutive armed attacks. A local government building near the capital Bangkok was attacked, leaving two people injured and a former MP detained.The attack occurred in the Nonthaburi province, where the suspect opened fire on a senior local government official and a driver, according to Nonthaburi Police Chief Lt. Gen. Dejrapee Kongdee. The injured were taken to the hospital.This incident follows a mass shooting by a 14-year-old boy in the same province, which resulted in the deaths of nine people and injured over 20.The Thai government has announced plans to tighten gun control laws. The Ministry of Education will implement a new school safety protocol within three months.
