Major Agricultural Company Files for Conciliation

Major Agricultural Company Files for Conciliation
A prominent agricultural company, Taban Gıda, has filed for conciliation, drawing attention to its financial situation. The Istanbul 1st Commercial Court of First Instance has granted a 3-month provisional stay of proceedings, effective from July 9, 2026. The company's application for conciliation is seen as a result of its financial difficulties. Taban Gıda is involved in the trade of grains, oilseeds, and feed raw materials. The court will hold the preliminary examination and investigation hearing on October 1, 2026. Following the announcement, creditors will have 7 days to object to the decision, citing evidence that there is no need for a conciliation period. Taban Gıda and its partner, Aras Demir, have also been implicated in allegations related to the importation of GMO products into Turkey using fake documents. These allegations are part of a case being heard in the Tekirdağ 1st Heavy Penal Court. The company has denied these allegations.
