According to Iranian television, over 40 million people attended the funeral ceremony of Iranian religious leader Ali Hamaney, who was killed in US and Israeli attacks. This participation is considered the largest funeral ceremony in world history. Official farewell ceremonies were held for Hamaney in 5 different cities in Iran and Iraq over 6 days. The religious leader's body was buried in his birthplace, Mashhad, on Friday morning.
