Preparations Underway for Historic Kırkpınar Oil Wrestling Tournament

Preparations are in full swing for the 665th Historic Kırkpınar Oil Wrestling Tournament, scheduled to take place in Edirne in July. As part of the preparations, 2 tons of olive oil have been brought in to grease the wrestlers before the matches. The tournament will be held from 3-5 July. According to the announcement, work on the wrestling arena and infrastructure is progressing rapidly. The area has been cleared of weeds and is being prepared for the matches.
