Historic Deal: Turkey to Import 1 Million Barrels of Oil from Iraq Daily

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made significant statements after his meeting with Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi. Emphasizing close cooperation with Iraq in the fight against terrorism, Erdoğan indicated that these issues will hopefully be permanently resolved. Iraqi Prime Minister Zaidi, during his visit to Ankara, expressed his determination to strengthen economic and political cooperation with Turkey. An agreement was reached on the export of 1 million barrels of oil per day from Iraq to Turkey. Following his meeting with Iraqi Prime Minister Zaidi, President Erdoğan, at the joint press conference, highlighted the relations between Turkey and Iraq. Noting that both countries play a crucial role in regional stability, Erdoğan stated that they are determined to further deepen their economic and political cooperation.
