Journalist Tahir Sarikaya was detained as part of the Cem Kucuk investigation. AK Party's Shamyl Tayyar stated that if Sarikaya speaks, it will cause an earthquake in the media. Tahir Sarikaya was detained by the Istanbul Gendarmerie Command KOM Branch teams. The investigation file revealed that Sarikaya's accounts had unidentified high-value money inflows and transfers. Following the detention news, Shamyl Tayyar shared on social media, 'Tahir Sarikaya has been detained. If he talks, there will be an earthquake in the media. It would be good.' Tahir Sarikaya was born on December 15, 1980, in Sereflikochisar, Ankara. Sarikaya, a graduate of Gazi University's Faculty of Communication, started his career as a reporter at IHA in 2004. Sarikaya has been hosting the 'Uyan Turkiyem' program on Beyaz TV since 2012. The judicial investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office is ongoing.
