Ali Baybaş, Who Was Stranded in Saudi Arabia for 3 Years, Brought to Turkey

Ali Baybaş, a 77-year-old who was a social media sensation in Mecca, had traveled to Saudi Arabia from Sivas 40 years ago for work. However, due to legal issues, Baybaş was unable to leave the country for 3 years and spent 1 year in prison. After his health deteriorated, Baybaş arrived at Istanbul Airport. He was greeted by AK Party Sivas MP Rukiye Toy and the Social Services Department team. Baybaş expressed his gratitude for being back in Turkey and stated that he was looking forward to recovering from his illness.Baybaş said, "I would like to thank President Recep Tayyip Erdogan very much. There were people who helped me there. Hopefully, everything will be much better from now on. First, I'm thinking of getting over this illness." After initial health checks, Baybaş was referred to Arnavutköy State Hospital for treatment.
