Sri Lanka Prison Riot: Death Toll Rises Amidst Violence

A prison riot in Negombo, Sri Lanka, has ended in bloodshed, with authorities confirming that 25 people have lost their lives and around 100 have been injured. According to officials, the violence began with the deaths of two inmates, and escalated further in the morning, resulting in the loss of 23 more lives. The deceased include 5 guards and 20 inmates.
