Important Changes in Contracted Personnel Regulation Published in Official Gazette

A decision signed by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was published in the Official Gazette dated July 31, 2026, and entered into force. This decision updated the Principles for Employing Contracted Personnel.The change guarantees the continuation of social service personnel working under the Ministry of Family and Social Services who meet certain conditions. The new regulation targets personnel who were working for extra wages as of May 16, 2025, in the ministry's central and provincial organizations and were later appointed to social service personnel positions and are still on duty. The regulation does not only apply to personnel actively working but also covers those on maternity leave, on leave due to health reports, and those serving in the military. These individuals will also be ensured to continue their duties as social service personnel. The provisions regarding the relevant personnel will be applied automatically as of the date the decision enters into force.
