Increase in Social Assistance Payments: What Are the New Amounts?

Social assistance payments have been updated. Minister of Family and Social Services Göktaş announced that, following the latest adjustment to the civil servant salary coefficient, Home Care Assistance has increased to 15,755 liras, Social and Economic Support (SED) payments to 11,038 liras, and elderly pensions to 7,257 liras.According to Minister Göktaş's statement, the increase in social assistance programs is a result of the new adjustment to the civil servant salary coefficient.Göktaş noted that this year, 48.6 billion liras were allocated for home care assistance, benefiting an average of 516,000 disabled individuals. He also stated that SED services are provided to families in need, with the economic support amount per child increasing from 9,723 liras to 11,038 liras.Furthermore, Göktaş mentioned that the average monthly payment to foster families per child has been raised from 15,532 liras to 17,632 liras.
