Social Media 'Magic' Scam: 50 People Defrauded by 'Sofi Serkan'

A person operating under the names 'Sofi Serkan' and 'Ahmet Hoca' on social media has been accused of defrauding 50 people by exploiting their religious beliefs with promises of magic and spell-breaking services. Among the victims is the spouse of a martyr. The perpetrator's scam was uncovered by an operation conducted by the Ankara West Public Prosecutor's Office and the Provincial Police Department. During the operation, it was discovered that the suspect collected money under the guise of sacrifices, vows, and material fees, defrauding numerous individuals. The detained suspect is currently undergoing procedures at the police station.
