Social Media Phenomenon Oğuzhan Uğur and 8 Others Face Arrest Request

Social media personality Oğuzhan Uğur, known for his support to Ahbap Derneği, was taken into custody at his home in Istanbul on Friday, July 17.In addition to Oğuzhan Uğur, Gülgün Öztürk, Suzan Düşküner, Emir Taşar, Emre Kartaloğlu, Hüseyin Küçük, Fatih Eke, Muharrem Karataş, Ersin Gökgün, and Özgür Ömer Güner were also detained in the same operation. The statements of those detained were taken at the Istanbul Vatan Police Department and then they were referred to the courthouse.The suspects' statement procedures were completed at the prosecutor's office in the afternoon. The arrest requests for the suspects are currently under evaluation. The prosecutor's office has requested the arrest of Oğuzhan Uğur and the others.
