Update on Turkish Political Parties' Membership Numbers: AK Party on the Rise, CHP in Decline

The membership numbers of Turkish political parties have been updated. The AK Party leads with 11,709,913 members, followed by the CHP with 1,879,973 members.According to the July data from the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office of the Supreme Court, there have been changes in the membership numbers of political parties compared to January. The AK Party increased its membership from 11,543,301 to 11,709,913. The Yeniden Refah Partisi and Saadet Partisi also saw an increase in their membership numbers. The MHP's membership rose from 498,021 to 501,122, the Büyük Birlik Partisi from 113,675 to 115,049, and the DEM Parti from 16,228 to 17,060.On the other hand, some parties saw a decline in their membership numbers. The CHP's membership rose from 1,922,757 to 1,879,973, the İYİ Parti from 391,731 to 385,025, the Demokrat Parti from 309,027 to 302,852, the Türkiye İşçi Partisi from 35,547 to 35,130, and the DEVA Partisi from 125,962 to 123,338. The HDP, which has a closure case at the Constitutional Court, has 3,593 members.
