New Initiative in Sivas: 500 Quails Released into the Wild to Combat Ticks
A significant step has been taken in Sivas to support the quail population and combat ticks. The Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks released 500 quails into the rural areas of Yıldızeli district. This study aims to strengthen wildlife and support the biological fight against ticks.It was stated that the areas where the quails were released were closed to hunting activities. This initiative has enriched the wildlife and made significant progress in the fight against ticks. The continuation of such activities is of great importance for the protection of the regional ecosystem.The Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks' study is seen as an indicator of the importance given to the protection of wildlife in Sivas. Increasing the quail population and preferring biological methods in the fight against ticks increase the sensitivity to environmental and wildlife protection.
