Number of Patients Undergoing Treatment for Suspected KKKA Disease in Sivas Announced
The number of patients undergoing treatment for suspected KKKA disease in Sivas has been announced as 13. Sivas Cumhuriyet University (SCU) Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Şengönül and SCU Health Services Practice and Research Hospital Chief Physician Prof. Dr. Ömer Tamer Doğan made statements to the press.University officials stated that the treatment of patients diagnosed with KKKA disease is progressing successfully. Emphasizing that they have significant experience in treating KKKA disease, Şengönül noted that the recovery rate of patients is successful. Prof. Dr. Doğan stated that 129 people applied to the hospital this year due to tick bites, 10 of whom lost their lives, and 13 cases are still undergoing treatment. Emphasizing that they can provide more effective supportive treatment when patients apply to the hospital early, Doğan stated that the number of cases is at a similar level to the same period last year.
