Death Toll Rises to 12 in Sivas Due to Tick-Borne Illnesses

A 63-year-old man, Bekir Selvi, from a village in Sivas, fell ill after a tick bite and was suspected to have contracted Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF). After his condition worsened, he was transferred to another hospital but unfortunately could not be saved. Bekir Selvi was a father of six and a retired transporter. He was taken to the hospital by his family and received treatment in the Anesthesia Intensive Care Unit due to suspected CCHF. Despite the doctors' efforts, Selvi lost his life, and his funeral was held by his family. The number of deaths in Sivas due to tick-borne illnesses and CCHF has risen to 12 this year.
