Silifke Deputy Mayor Elected

Following the removal of Silifke Mayor Mustafa Turgut from his duties, a deputy mayor election was held at the municipal council.As a result of the election, Oğuzhan Kökten was elected as the deputy mayor with 18 votes in the third round. Kökten was the candidate of the CHP. During the election process, the CHP group in the council nominated Oğuzhan Kökten, while the People's Alliance nominated Mehmet Özel from the MHP. In the first round, Kökten received 19 votes, while Özel received 10. In the third round, Kökten received 18 votes, Özel received 10, and one vote was deemed invalid.
