Tobacco Tax Rate Reduced

The regulation on the reduction of the Special Consumption Tax (SCT) on tobacco products has been published in the Official Gazette and has come into effect. With this regulation, the SCT rate on tobacco products has been reduced from 45% to 42%. Additionally, it has been decided that the Yİ-ÜFE update will not be applied to tobacco products for the period of July-December 2026.This change aims to make price changes in tobacco products more balanced and to prevent losses in tax revenues. On the other hand, an update will be made in the Yİ-ÜFE rate for tobacco products other than cigarettes for the period of July-December this year.
