Heatwave Hits Istanbul: Crowds Flock to Beaches and Green Spaces

As a heatwave swept through Istanbul, residents flocked to the city's beaches and green spaces over the weekend.Looking to make the most of their Sunday, many people headed to the shores of Şile and Kilyos. Some took to the water to cool off, while others opted for a stroll or a spot of fishing at Üsküdar, Caddebostan, and Avcılar beaches.Popular green spaces like Nakkaştepe Millet Bahçesi, Kurt Kemeri Mesire Alanı, and Belgrad Ormanları were also packed. Families picnicking in the shade tried to stay cool, while children played games and rode their bicycles.
