Heatwave Warning: Meteorology Expert Gives Date

The extreme heatwave that has been affecting Europe is expected to reach the western regions of Turkey from the weekend. Meteorology expert Prof. Dr. Orhan Şen warned that temperatures will rise from the weekend. Particular attention was drawn to Monday and Tuesday.
Prof. Dr. Şen stated that the air temperatures are 2-3 degrees above the seasonal norms, with expected temperatures of 32 degrees in Istanbul and Ankara, and 35 degrees in Izmir. Şen also provided information on sea water temperatures.
According to this, the sea water temperature was measured at 27 degrees in Antalya, 25 degrees in Marmaris, 24 degrees in Bodrum and Kuşadası, 23 degrees in Tekirdağ, 22 degrees in Kilyos, and 21 degrees in Çeşme. Şen stated that the heatwave in Europe will change direction from the weekend, and it may be forbidden to go out on the streets in Germany, Poland, Ukraine, Romania, Czech Republic, and Slovakia on Sunday and Monday.
