A forest fire that started in a agricultural area in Muğla's Seydikemer district spread rapidly due to strong winds. The fire quickly spread to the nearby forest area, making it difficult to control. The winds further fueled the flames. Despite this, a large-scale intervention was launched, involving 5 planes, 11 helicopters, 40 fire trucks, and 261 personnel. The teams are trying to intervene in the fire from both air and land. Due to heavy smoke and flames, the Fethiye-Antalya highway was temporarily closed to traffic for security reasons.The fire extinguishing efforts are continuing uninterrupted by the teams in the region. The effects of the fire and smoke are also affecting the local population. The closure of the highway has also changed travel plans.
