Fuat Gümüş Elected as Deputy Mayor of Seferihisar Municipality

The Seferihisar Municipality Council gathered in the council hall to elect a deputy mayor. Following the removal of Mayor İsmail Yetişkin from his duties, CHP member Fuat Gümüş was elected as the deputy mayor with 17 votes.In the election where 23 council members cast their votes, other candidates Ümit Cingöz and Çağatay Rasim Çağır received one vote each, while 4 votes were left blank. As part of the bribery investigation into Seferihisar Municipality, 25 suspects, including Mayor İsmail Yetişkin, were taken into custody on June 25.The Ministry of Interior announced that İsmail Yetişkin had been removed from his duties. The election results were welcomed by the council members.
