Shanghai Hosts World Artificial Intelligence Conference: Russia and China Take New Steps in Global AI Cooperation

The World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC), which brings together the world's leading players in the artificial intelligence ecosystem, is being held in Shanghai from July 17 to 20.
The event, which brings together public representatives, company executives, and experts from different countries, discusses the latest developments in the sector and technology sharing. The Russian delegation is headed by Maxim Oreshkin, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration and Co-Chairman of the Presidential Commission on Artificial Intelligence.
Before the conference, Russia, China, and more than 25 countries signed the establishment of the "World Artificial Intelligence Cooperation Organization" to institutionalize international cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence.
Moscow and Beijing, which are working together on the concept of the organization's future operation, emphasize that a human-centered approach should be prioritized, and equal access to information and transparent ethical norms are essential.
