Ministry of Industry and Technology Takes Back 105 Different Brands and Models

The Ministry of Industry and Technology inspected 26,310 industrial products during the first 6 months of the year. In the controls, 2,441 products were found to be contrary to the legislation, and 232 products were sent to the detailed test and examination process. The rate of non-compliance of the inspected products was calculated as 9.28 percent. As a result of the inspections, a recall decision was made for 105 different brands and models of industrial products due to non-compliances that affect consumer safety. The product groups with the most intensive recall decisions were elevators, automotive and energy products. The Ministry imposed a total of 175 million 898 thousand 583 lira administrative fine on manufacturers and related companies due to the detected legislative contradictions. Additionally, it was announced that a period was given to the companies to rectify the deficiencies for 238 products.
