Farewell to Cansever: Renowned Artist Laid to Rest in North Macedonia

One of the notable figures of arabesque music, Cansever, bid farewell to life in Germany where he was receiving treatment for leukemia and was laid to rest in his hometown of Veles, North Macedonia. Cansever's funeral was held at Gazlı Ahmet Paşa Camisi, attended by his family and loved ones. Before the ceremony, his family accepted condolences in the courtyard of the mosque. The funeral prayer was led by Fevzi Yazıcı, the imam of the mosque affiliated with the Presidency of Religious Affairs. After the prayer, Cansever's body was taken to the front of the house where he lived for many years, and he was bid farewell with prayers. He was then buried in the family cemetery.
