Ministry of Foreign Affairs Condemns Bomb Attacks in Damascus

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned the bomb attacks that took place in Damascus, Syria.In a statement, the Ministry emphasized that there is no place for violence and terrorism in Syria. The statement also included the phrase "Turkey will continue to support the Syrian people and provide necessary assistance to the efforts for lasting stability and security in Syria."Two explosions occurred near the Ministry of Tourism building in Damascus. It was reported that the explosion took place near the hotel where French President Emmanuel Macron was staying during his visit to Damascus. At the time of the explosion, Macron was at the Presidential Palace meeting with Syrian President Ahmed Shara.
