Fake Gold Operation: 22 People Detained in 10 Provinces

A large-scale operation was conducted in 10 provinces, centered in Kahramanmaraş, against the production and distribution of fake gold. As a result, 22 out of 69 suspects were detained. The operation, which was carried out by the Kahramanmaraş Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and the Smuggling and Organized Crime Combat Bureau, involved 150 teams and 490 personnel. The operation included simultaneous searches in 10 provinces, during which significant evidence of crime was found. The seized materials included 10,749 pieces of fake gold, 123 seals, 5 kilograms of fake gold, 112 historical artifacts, 10 pistols, 9 rifles, 5 blank pistols, 3,338 cartridges, and 26 synthetic pills. After the operation, the suspects were taken to court following their procedures at the police station.
