Russia Reveals Number of Foreign Mercenaries Who Joined Ukraine's Ranks

The head of the Russian Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrıkin, announced that since the start of the special military operation in 2022, more than 16,800 foreign mercenaries have been identified as joining Ukraine's armed formations.

According to the data we have, since the start of the special military operation, more than 16,800 foreign citizens have arrived to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine as mercenaries.

Bastrıkin stated that some of these foreign elements have been neutralized by Russian forces, while many others have been forced to unilaterally terminate their contracts and leave Ukrainian territory.The Russian Investigative Committee Chairman shared updated data on foreign mercenaries who came to Ukraine to support the Kiev regime. Bastrıkin emphasized that most of these mercenaries have been neutralized or have fled. This situation indicates a critical juncture in the special military operation in Ukraine in terms of the participation of foreign elements.
