Russia Warns the EU: 'You Are the Main Obstacle to Peace in Ukraine'

Zakharova noted that the understanding reached in Alaska could have served as a basis for resolving the Ukrainian crisis through political and diplomatic means, but one of the parties has clearly distanced itself from these results. The talks between Russia and the US in Alaska could have provided a foundation for a political and diplomatic solution to the situation in Ukraine. However, it appears that one of the parties has deliberately moved away from the outcomes of these discussions. Zakharova pointed out that Brussels has turned a blind eye to human rights violations in Ukraine, including freedom of expression and pressure on the opposition. Today, Europe has become the main obstacle to achieving peace in Ukraine.
