Russia Foils Drone Attack Attempt on Military Airbases

Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) has announced the prevention of a large-scale drone attack on military airbases in the Amur and Chelyabinsk regions.The FSB stated that it had thwarted a planned operation by Ukrainian intelligence services targeting Russian military infrastructure. The drone attacks, which targeted the ‘Ukrainka’ and ‘Shagol’ military airbases in the Amur and Chelyabinsk regions, respectively, were foiled thanks to prior intelligence.

As a result of the work carried out by the units of the Federal Security Service, preventive information was received that the Ukrainian special services were preparing large-scale attacks on the military airfields in the Amur and Chelyabinsk regions.

The FSB had previously claimed that Ukrainian special services, with the direct participation of Western coordinators, had made large-scale sabotage and attack attempts using drones against Russian military infrastructure, a leading defense industry enterprise, and Defense Ministry personnel.
