New Prisoner Exchange Between Russia and Ukraine

Despite ongoing clashes on the field, Russia and Ukraine have continued their prisoner exchange process, with each side handing over 160 more soldiers. According to a statement from the Russian Ministry of Defense, 160 Russian soldiers held in Ukrainian-controlled territories were released. In return, Russia handed over 160 members of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that the released Russian soldiers would be provided with necessary psychological and medical support before being transferred to Russia. They will continue their treatment and rehabilitation at health facilities affiliated with the Russian Ministry of Defense. Russian Human Rights Commissioner Yana Lantratova took a close interest in the Russian soldiers currently located on Belarusian territory. The humanitarian mediation efforts of the United Arab Emirates were reportedly effective in securing the release of the Russian soldiers from captivity.
