Russian and US Foreign Ministers Meet in Manila

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and US Foreign Minister Marco Rubio held a significant meeting in Manila, the capital of the Philippines. The foreign policy representatives of the two countries met in Manila to discuss bilateral and international issues. The meeting, which started at 6:50 Turkish time, lasted 35 minutes. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated before the meeting that he would ask the US to clarify its current stance on resolving the Ukraine crisis. Lavrov noted that this contact would be beneficial under any circumstances. US Foreign Minister Marco Rubio also stated that during his meeting with Lavrov, he would discuss whether the Washington administration has the opportunity to make a constructive contribution to resolving the crisis. This meeting between the two diplomats is the fourth face-to-face meeting held in Manila.
