Russia Foils Ukraine's Drone Assassination Plot Against Russian Military Official

The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) has announced that it thwarted a plot by Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) to assassinate a Russian military official using a drone.According to the statement, the SBU, with the support of Western intelligence agencies, planned a series of terrorist attacks on Russia's military infrastructure and defense industry facilities. A Russian citizen with a prior criminal record in Russia was recruited by the SBU through coercion and received training on weapons and explosives in Ukraine.The individual, who entered Russia via Chisinau and Yerevan, was tasked with targeting a high-ranking Russian military official. The plan involved using a homemade explosive and shrapnel-loaded drone to attack the official as they entered their apartment building.The FSB emphasized that the operation prevented a significant threat and initiated an investigation into the suspect for planning a terrorist act.This development marks another instance of Ukraine's alleged involvement in terrorist activities.
