Russia Submits Files on Starobelsk Attack to the UN

Russian Human Rights Commissioner Yana Lantratova announced that the files on the attack by the Ukrainian army on a dormitory in Starobelsk, which resulted in the deaths of 21 people, have been submitted to international human rights organizations, including the United Nations. According to a statement from Lantratova's press service, the file on the attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the city of Starobelsk in the Lugansk People's Republic (LPR) has been submitted to international authorities. The statement noted that Lantratova held a working meeting with the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Mirjana Spoljaric, where the tragedy in Starobelsk was discussed under a separate heading. Regarding the meeting, it was stated that "materials on the tragedy in Starobelsk have been prepared for international human rights organizations and official appeals have been sent to UN bodies." The statement also mentioned that more comprehensive additional documents, including technical information about the weapons used in the attack, the chronology of the air strike, and the results of the investigations, will be submitted to the UN and relevant organizations in the near future. On the night of May 22-23, Ukrainian drones targeted the dormitory of the Starobelsk Vocational School, which is part of the Lugansk State Pedagogical University. The attack resulted in the deaths of 21 people and injuries to over 40. Surviving students reported that the drones hovered over the campus for an extended period and carried out targeted strikes.
