Russia's Military Revolution with AI and Drones: Belousov Explains Frontline Supremacy

Russian Defense Minister Andrey Belousov shared the technological superiority achieved by the Russian Armed Forces in modern warfare doctrine and new strategies on the frontline. Minister Belousov announced the steps taken in critical areas, from the army's logistical infrastructure to artificial intelligence projects. He stated that drone units operating in the special military operation zone have been structurally transformed, emphasizing that organized military units, rather than individual personnel groups, are now fighting on the frontlines.

A unit is given the task of isolating the area or cutting off supply lines, and they focus directly on this target. This organized approach has resulted in the effectiveness of drone usage being approximately three times higher compared to ordinary teams.

Belousov revealed that one of the Defense Ministry's seven priority projects is the integration of artificial intelligence into the military sphere, focusing on two main areas. He also mentioned that the software-hardware 'DC' complex, which provides data flow and enhances operational capabilities for all drone units, has been actively deployed. Belousov stated that the Russian army has increased measures against UAV threats from the Ukrainian Armed Forces across all frontlines, with a tiered tactical prevention system established in each military group. He highlighted that the situation changes every 2-3 months and the Russian army adapts quickly, saying, 'We are actively deploying mobile fire groups equipped with FPV drone hunters to the field.' Emphasizing that Russia has turned its air defense into a multi-layered and integrated system, Belousov explained that new software used from the tactical level to the entire command chain allows for a complete view of the frontline situation, rapid target identification, and successful management of the battle from a single center.
