Russia Ready to Strengthen Relations with Nepal

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov sent a congratulatory message to his Nepalese counterpart Shishir Khanal on the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Russia and Nepal. Lavrov emphasized that Moscow is ready to deepen its traditional friendly relations with Nepal and develop bilateral cooperation. The relations between Russia and Nepal have always been characterized by a spirit of friendship, mutual respect, and consideration for each other's fundamental interests.It is believed that the interaction between Russia and Nepal will contribute to the maintenance of stability at the regional and international levels. The 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Moscow and Kathmandu is being celebrated on July 20. We confirm that we are ready to work together to strengthen bilateral cooperation for the benefit of our peoples.
