Russia Sends Note to Sweden Over Drone Attack on Embassy
Russia has sent an official protest note to the Swedish Foreign Ministry following a recent drone attack on its embassy in Stockholm. Russia criticized Sweden for the continued attacks over the past two years and the lack of concrete results from the investigations. The Russian Ambassador to Sweden, Sergey Belyayev, announced that they had made an official approach to the Swedish authorities following the latest attack. Ambassador Belyayev stated, "We sent a note to the Swedish Foreign Ministry, once again, and now as a strong request, expressing our expectation to be informed about the results of the investigation." The Russian diplomat emphasized that periodic drone attacks on the embassy have been taking place over the past two years, and despite the investigations conducted by the authorities, no concrete results have been achieved. The details of the latest attack on the diplomatic mission have also become clear. One of the two drones involved in the incident dropped paint on the embassy building, while the other, which carried a mock homemade explosive device (HED), fell in an area close to the building.
