Russia's Foreign Ministry Responds to the West: Cyber Attack Allegations are Baseless

Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated that Western countries have accused Russia of 'malicious activities' in the cyber sphere without providing any concrete evidence.
Zakharova noted that on July 13, a number of countries and organizations that pursue unfriendly policies towards Russia launched a coordinated information attack, accusing Moscow of 'constantly engaging in malicious activities' in the cyber sphere.
Zakharova emphasized that Russia has demanded clear evidence regarding these allegations, but in response, only vague references to some data analyses that allegedly cannot be shared were made.
Zakharova underlined that Moscow is in favor of the peaceful use of cyberspace in accordance with international law norms. She also pointed out that Western military units and intelligence elements are present in Ukraine, coordinating the actions of Ukrainian hackers.
