Russian Foreign Ministry Criticizes Politico for Censorship
The Russian Foreign Ministry criticized Politico magazine for refusing to publish an article by Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov titled 'Ukraine, Europe, and Global Security'. The Ministry's spokesperson, Maria Zakharova, called this decision a clear example of censorship in the heart of the European Union. Zakharova stated that the rejection was not a diplomatic stance but an interference with the content.

Politico refused to publish Sergey Lavrov's article focusing on the origins of the Ukraine crisis and European security. This publication rejected not the Russian Foreign Minister, but the content of the article. The text was returned with a note saying 'we will not publish' after being held at the editorial office for more than 24 hours. This is a clear example of censorship. In the heart of the EU, there is a media outlet that presents itself as a defender of European values, democracy, and freedom, but in reality, it is an example of censorship and Orwellian dictatorship practices.

She noted that Politico is used not to shape public opinion but to 'brainwash' Europeans, and shared the magazine's publication statistics.
