Russia Ready to Contribute to US-Iran Agreement
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov emphasized that the framework protocol signed between the US and Iran is not yet a final agreement. Ryabkov stated that Moscow is ready to support the process to the extent of its capabilities to achieve a comprehensive agreement between the two countries.

The framework protocol is not a direct agreement, but a text that forms the basis for future agreements. The main agreement clauses have not yet been prepared, and they need to be worked on in more detail.

Ryabkov also commented on Russia's attitude towards the process. Russia hopes that Tehran will reach a concrete and substantive agreement with Washington.

An observation committee, working groups, and a separate unit for the Lebanon file have been established. However, these are currently more organizational steps. The actual content part has been left for future stages. Therefore, we can only say whether the current arrangement is better or worse than the Comprehensive Joint Action Plan (nuclear agreement) once the content is clarified.

Iran and the US had defined a framework to end the military conflict that started on February 28, with the agreement signed remotely on June 18.
