Former Russian Air Force Deputy Commander General Ayteç Bijev evaluated Russia's air defense operations against Ukraine's unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Bijev emphasized that Russian systems have unparalleled experience globally. Russia's air defense network has a layered, automated, and integrated structure, and the system works in coordination with not only ground-based missiles but also combat aircraft and army aviation.Bijev explained the success of the Russian defense by citing its effectiveness ratio, stating, 'No air defense system in the world can guarantee 100 percent effectiveness, but Russian accounts have gained unparalleled experience in the conflict process.' Recalling that Ukraine intensifies its attacks before international meetings like NATO summits, Bijev interpreted such actions as Kiev's attempt to show its effectiveness to its Western supporters.'They are trying to overshadow any effectiveness with attacks, so we are always in a state of high readiness,' he said. The Russian general stated that Russia's strategy is based on systematically liberating regions, and as territorial control increases, the enemy's range of attack will also decrease.
