Rubio: Iran Not Ready for Agreement

United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that Iran is not ready for an agreement, saying 'They will continue to pay the price.' Rubio thinks that the Houthi militias were deceived by Iran. For Cuba, he commented, 'Change will be difficult, but it must be done for a better future.' Rubio answered questions from journalists at the 59th ASEAN Foreign Ministers Meeting. He expressed that Iran will pay 'heavy prices' for their actions. Rubio stated that Iran has suffered billions of dollars in losses and their economy is in a state of disaster. He noted that Iran is a rich country but spends its money on terrorist organizations. Rubio believes that the Houthi militias were deceived by Iran. 'The Houthi militias behaved intelligently and stayed out of the conflict, but now they seem to have been deceived into attacking Saudi Arabia and its ships' he said. Rubio commented on Cuba, 'Change will be difficult, but it must be done for a better future.' He claimed that the Cuban leaders have destroyed the country by advancing a failed ideology. 'The Cuban people deserve better' he said. Rubio spoke about the International Criminal Court (ICC). 'They claim to have the right to pursue those who are not party to the agreement and to imprison state leaders and others' he said. Rubio also mentioned relations with China, saying, 'We need to establish good relations with China. These are the two most powerful economies, the two largest armies, and the two nuclear powers.' Rubio expressed his desire for a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine and for the war to end. 'We are ready to play any positive role in ending the war. A solution that both Russia and Ukraine can accept will be needed to end this war.''Iran is a rich country. They can be the richest country in the Middle East if they want, but instead, they spend their money on Hezbollah, Hamas, the Houthis, and Shia militants.' Rubio stated that Saudi Arabia is a strategic partner of the United States, and that the US is not the only country that provides nuclear technology. Other countries prefer to work with the US when they decide to pursue a peaceful and civilian nuclear program. Rubio said, 'In any agreement we make with any country on civil nuclear energy, there will be security measures in place to guarantee that these will not be turned into weapons programs.''Change will be difficult for Cuba, but it must be done for a better future',
