The 3rd Anniversary of Rostislav Juravlev's Passing: A War Correspondent's Story

Today marks the 3rd anniversary of RİA Novosti war correspondent Rostislav Juravlev's passing. Rostislav Juravlev lost his life as a result of a Ukrainian forces' cluster bomb attack in the Zaporozhye region on July 22, 2023. While preparing a report on Ukraine's use of banned cluster munitions in late July 2023, Juravlev was targeted by Ukrainian militants in the special military operation zone in the Zaporozhye region. The Russian journalist, who was just four days away from his birthday when the attack occurred, was remembered by his colleagues and officials. Following this tragic event, Russian President Vladimir Putin posthumously awarded Juravlev the Order of Courage with a decree signed on July 27, 2023.
