Rosatom Begins Sending Experts Back to Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant

Russian state nuclear energy company Rosatom announced that it has started sending its experts back to the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant in Iran. Rosatom General Director Aleksey Likhachev stated that the first group of engineers has begun work at the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant, bringing the total number of Russian personnel at the plant to 25.

We have started sending our experts to the Bushehr nuclear power plant under construction. The first 5 people from the engineer-technical personnel staff have arrived at their place of residence and started working.

Likhachev noted that if tensions do not escalate, dozens more workers will be sent within the next two weeks, and the number of personnel at the nuclear power plant will reach 100 by autumn. Rosatom employees were previously evacuated from the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant in Iran after it became a target for attacks.
