Rosatom Chief Lihaçev Makes Statement on Zaporozhye NPP Attacks: Unacceptable
Rosatom Chief Executive Officer Alexey Lihaçev made a statement regarding the attacks on the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Lihaçev reported that since mid-March, 6 people have been killed and 43 injured in the attacks. He noted that during this period, the plant was subjected to over 460 drone attacks and more than 15 artillery attacks, emphasizing that ignoring these attacks would encourage escalation. After sharing the balance of the attacks on the city of Energodar and the Zaporozhye NPP, Lihaçev also pointed out that the diesel fuel stocks at the plant have decreased to 50% of the required level. The Rosatom Chief stated that cooperation to address security concerns will continue.
