Putin Orders Russian Army to Ensure Security Along All Borders

Russian President Vladimir Putin held a series of meetings on the 'Varyag' cruiser, emphasizing the importance of ensuring security along all of Russia's borders. Putin stated that Russia aims to secure its borders and territories. 'The main tasks are being carried out during the special military operation today, but our task is to ensure the security of the Russian state along all its borders, on all its territories,' Putin said, holding a meeting with military and intelligence officials on the 'Varyag' guided missile cruiser. During the meeting, the situation in the region was described as 'difficult', and the increase in tensions within the area of responsibility of the Pacific Fleet was noted. The Russian leader requested that the military officials present proposals for additional measures to effectively fulfill their duties. The meeting was attended by Pacific Fleet Commander Viktor Liina, Head of the Russian Federal Security Service's Sakhalin Regional Border Management Sergey Mahorin, and Deputy Commander of the 68th Guards Army Corps Aleksey Shvedov.
