Poland Refuses to Provide MiG-29 to Ukraine Due to Refusal of Drone Technology

Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysh stated that Ukraine refused to provide Poland with drone technology, and therefore, MiG-29 fighter jets will not be supplied to Kiev.Kosiniak-Kamysh said, “I made a very open and, in my opinion, really partnership-based proposal, drones in exchange for MiGs.” He noted that the Ukrainians initially accepted this proposal, but then backed out of the agreement.The relationship between Poland and Ukraine has been strained in recent times due to military disagreements as well as historical and political tensions. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy's attendance at the funeral of nationalist leaders and the granting of honorary titles to controversial figures in Polish history to the Ukrainian Armed Forces have sparked significant backlash in Warsaw.
