New Era for Plastic, Glass, and Aluminum Packaging: 1 TL Incentive to be Applied

The Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change has launched the Deposit Management System across Turkey. Citizens can return packaging made of plastic, glass, and aluminum under the DOA (Deposit-Bearing Packaging) scope and receive a deposit incentive of 1 TL per packaging. With the implementation of the Deposit Management System, the goal is to recycle 25 billion packages annually and contribute 30 billion TL to the Turkish economy. Citizens can return packaging with the DOA logo and receive the incentive. Additionally, hotels, restaurants, and cafes will collect used beverage packaging and deliver them to their chosen field operators. The Deposit-Bearing Packaging (DOA) mobile application is also available for free download. Citizens can use the application to find the nearest DOA return machine.
