Fujimori Wins Presidential Election in Peru

Keiko Fujimori, the candidate of the Popular Force Party, has emerged victorious in the second round of the presidential election held in Peru on June 7.
According to the official results of the vote count completed by the National Office of Electoral Processes, Fujimori won the election by a margin of approximately 50,000 votes, surpassing left-wing candidate Roberto Sanchez.
The National Electoral Board of Peru is expected to officially announce the winner on July 3, following a contentious electoral process. Fujimori made a statement regarding the election on her social media account:
Fujimori stated that the National Office of Electoral Processes had reviewed 100% of the vote count records and that the objections to the election results had been resolved.
